I still believe that dining in a full-service restaurant is still a huge part of the customer experience with the brand, and it should come back once the pandemic is over.
With that being said, I don't think food brands don't need as many restaurants as they did before, a bulk of their revenue can come from online orders, and a few flagship stores (directly-owned) can take care of the customer experience. When this shift happens, it seems the franchise business and concept may diminish.
